Motion Designer Contact

I'm Alessandro, a motion designer based in Milan. I started as a filmmaker in film school, worked on sets for a couple of years and then progressively switched to motion graphics. I love to tell stories through position, scale and rotation. Due to my formation I try to merge motion graphics and filmmaking. Frame after frame I bring my very personal point of view at the service of your ideas.

MET – VANGUARD

Met Helmets is leading Italian company in the cycling helmets field.

The whole Vanguard campaign was focused on the technology behind these products.

MET asked me to animate some static assets along with the logo animation. Those assets were the fil rouge through the main campaign and the social communication.

Here you can find some highlights from the main campaign.

BADLYDESIGNED#01

This project stems from the frustration I feel when I’ve to interact with stoves. The graphic style draws inspiration from plane safety boards. BADLYDESIGNED#01 could be a series about the difficulties that we encounter when using everyday objects. All design notions come from two books by Donald Norman:  The Design of Everyday Things and Emotional Design.

CHIKORIA

Chikoria is Riccardo Riggio’s latest font, published with Cast Foundry.

He asked me to turn some of is illustrations into an animated video that ran during his presentation at Type Thursday Milano

For the general mood we took inspo from Wu Tang Clan music video aesthetics such as “Da Mystery Of Chessboxin”. While the animated effects – like light flare and inverted color frame – come from 80s Anime, where the use of black and white gives dynamics to impacts during action scenes
